Florence & The Machine ‘The Odyssey’ (Full length film directed by Vincent Haycock)

Rather than just releasing singles, more and more musicians are beginning to turn whole albums into full length ‘visual experiences’. Written and produced by Florence Welch and Vincent Haycock, ‘The Odyssey’ is a remarkable example for all artists who wish to do the same in the future. The plot, cinematography, choreography and music are all incredibly well executed. Visually, this is one of the most cohesive ‘visual albums’ that I’ve had the pleasure of viewing. I also really like how Florence mixed up the order of the songs and did a few a Capella. For me this really added another dimension to the film and made it feel all the more personal. This ‘visual experience’ really has made an already incredible album even better!
